Tips for a Profit Pulling Copy
When you are creating sales copy, limit the use of hype. If you have a quality product, it can be sold mainly be listing the actual benefits. People are only looking at your sales copy because they want to learn something about your product so they can decide if they want it. Apart from that, don't use a lot of bold and italics. If you use them too much, however, it can backfire. Your readers will start to distrust you if you use these too often. You definitely don't want your copy to carry this message. There's no need to go over the top, just stick with the honest facts. Don't do anything to annoy or turn off your readers. You also have to remember that your reader is not really interested in your product's features, it's the benefits he cares about. Yes, your product might have the best features but unless you show your customers why and how they would benefit out of them, it's of no use. Your prospects don't really care about the way your product works, they want to know what problem it will solve for them. It's fine to tell people about features as long as you follow each one with a specific benefit. Besides that, when your prospect talks about your product to his friends and family (word of mouth) he/she won't talk about the features but will only talk about how beneficial the product is. While the features are important and make your product unique, it's the benefits that people will remember. You can create a list of benefits using bullet points. For instance, if your product is targeted towards a niche like Google Supremacy, don't use any heavy jargon related to it, keep it as simple as possible.
That's a basic of copywriting. You're aiming here to simplify things for the prospect, not make them more complex. Don't use heavy vocabulary or put in too many technicalities in your copy. Some think that writing good copy takes years of learning how to do it. The hard and fast facts are that copy is very easy to write.
Prospects won't flee from it either.
With a quality copy you can reach a level of success that you never imagined. Hence the reason why you are in this business. For instance, if you're talking about internet marketing blog in the copy, then give out as much information as you can, so that the prospect doesn't have an incomplete feeling.
